Tucked in the back of Disney's Hollywood Studios is one of our favorite places to be: Toy Story Land. The first thing you will notice when entering the land is that you feel small. This is by design, as you are being shrunk down to the size of a toy. Woody and the gang tower over you while giant human footprints mark the ground below. Just as you warm up to your new proportions Slinky Dog zips past you to the sound of cheerful screams. Following the joyful sounds will lead you to the land's most popular attraction, Slinky Dog Dash. Take a ride in our favorite springy pal as he darts around the yard. This one offers enough thrills for most while being kid-friendly. You can also enjoy the incredible details that went into the queue line. We always get a kick out of reading the back of an oversized Elmer's glue bottle.
Woahhhh. You have been chosen...to twist and turn with Alien Swirling Saucers. The attraction offers a twirling good time for the family as your squishy green guide spins you around Andy's Pizza Planet play set. This is a good place to get out some laughs while you ride. Our stomachs are turning in the best way possible.
Toy Story Land isn't all outdoor attractions. Head inside to test your skills in Toy Story Mania! This 4D arcade-style shooting attraction will put you head-to-head against your family and friends. Board a tram that will take you through 5 games before tallying your final scores. Be careful though; the competition can get real serious real quick! The queue line for this one is amazing as well, taking you into Andy's room with some free entertainment brought to you by Potato Head himself.
Once you've worked up an appetite you'll want to head over to Woody's Lunch Box for a fill-up. This quick service dining location is completely underrated and one of our favorites in the entire park. Get there before 10:30 AM for an excellent breakfast bowl that includes potato barrels topped with eggs, smoked brisket country gravy and green onions. If you miss out on breakfast, no worries. You've got a friend in TTC. We've tried it all at Woody's Lunch Box and have a few suggestions that you may be interested in. The daily lunch box tarts are basically massive, delicious pop tarts that are great for the little ones. The grilled three-cheese sandwich is an absolute winner. Pro tip: add a cup of tomato basil soup to dip that cheesy goodness into and thank us later. If you're looking for more of a magnificent mess go with the "totchos". Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like: tater tot nachos. All are fantastic options for your visit to Toy Story Land.
Not to be outdone by any other land or area on property, Toy Story Land is a prime spot for good times. Three great attractions and a wonderful dining option make is easy to spend endless hours there. It's a good thing all toys are welcome in Andy's backyard.
